The Communications and Documentation Initiative is charged with reaching COVAW’s various constituencies and providing them with the information they require our services as well as information on their rights as enshrined in Kenya’s constitution. We achieve the above objective by the use of a multiplicity of platforms and channels, from social media to advocacy campaigns, as well as Kenyan media.
The Communications and Documentation programme primary mandate is therefore to document using powerful and creative Information, Education and Communication materials ranging from leaflets, brochures, annual reports and videos showcasing the work of the organisation and its significant impact in Kenya since inception in 1995.
COVAW IEC materials celebrate the joys of putting a smile on a woman’s face, the pain and agony of battered and sexually abused women and the challenges of accessing legal as well as medical help for such women. The organisation has big dreams, aspirations, core values and mission which are aligned with the passion of the of the Kenyan women whom we serve with dedication.
